How We Are Doing!
Hi, if you are wondering how we are doing with The Filter of Hope . Here is how we are doing.
We already have enough money to get 2 filters. And we almost have enough for 3 filters! The founder of Filter of Hope Emailed us and said , he would send us a free filter to show us how it works in person. He saw our video and said our video was incredible and it made him shed a tear watching us worry so much about people that don't have clean water.
Please tell your friends and family about what we are doing so we can raise more and spreed the news about Filter of Hope.

Homework and The Water Project
This week's homework will be a collection of math worksheets.
Pg. 1: Multiplication and Division word problems. Students should show their work on a separate sheet of paper.
Pgs. 2 + 3: Mixed operations. Students should show their work. Note: The last lines of division problems show the long division sign. This is just how this worksheet printed them. They are simply supposed to write the quotient above the line.
The Water Project:
As we have been learning about landforms and water features, our class also learned about how little freshwater there is in the world (only 3%). Out of that 3%, much of the water is frozen in the polar region. Water is a resource that is not equally distributed, and based on economic differences between countries, some water can be clean while other water could have dirt, animal waste, dangerous bacteria, and even oil from boats. People in 3rd world countries are often drinking this water and getting very sick, some even die.
Our class was really moved and we learned that there is a water filtration system that costs $40 that can provide clean water for a family for about 10 years. We worked together to come up with a plan to raise money to send as many filters as we could to people in Africa and Asia.
The plan consists of us creating pictures and stories to sell to people for $1. We will be selling them over time, but also during Curriculum Night starting around 6 pm. After one day of just talking about it, the students brought in over $10! In addition to this, our class is developing a commercial that we can share to spread the word so we can hopefully receive more donations. We would appreciate your help in this matter whenever we get the video published.
It's really exciting to see the students create something from the ground up that will help other people.
